How you get here
You can reach the island either by air -the airport is in Argostoli- or sea (ports of Poros, Argostoli and Sami). You may also travel by coach (KTEL) instead of the car. To get access to the National Park you drive from Argostoli towards Sami; at 900 m of altitude there’s a crossroad and from there after 5.5 km you reach the old Air-Force facilities with the area Radar; after 1.5 km you enter to the core of the National Park (altitude of about 1,000 m) and proceed for 2 km to reach the mountain refuge (altitude 1.200 m). From this point and at a distance of 6.5 km you may arrive at the telecommunications facilities (altitude 1.600 m) following a high quality asphalt pavement.
