Kefalonia – Ithaca Geopark headquarters in Ithaca island is located at the Cultural information Center, in Anogi.
The Cultural Information Center hosts a permanent exhibition on the natural environment of Ithaca Island. The exhibition is open to the public during working days and hours after contact with the president of the town Mr. Moraitis.
In the Center posters and information material are available, issued by the Region of the Ionian Islands, Ithaca Municipality, the Ministry of Environment and Energy, Environmental Organizations and the Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency
At the Information Center of Anogi, citizens, visitors and especially pupils can be informed and become aware of the unique flora and fauna of the Ithaca Island, through a variety of methods including environmental education and organization of conferences and seminars. The environmental knowledge acquired have the aim to enhance future active participation on actions targeting the protection, promotion and management of geosites of the island.
