On Wednesday, December 27, 2023, the glamorous opening of the Paleontological exhibition for the fossils of the Kefalonia – Ithaca Geopark "Our Petrified World..." at the Environmental Information Center of Koutavos, in Argostoli.
The project was implemented by the Laboratory of Paleontology and Stratigraphy and the Laboratory of Sedimentology of the Department of Geology of the University of Patras in collaboration with the Natural Environment and Climate Change Organization (N.E.C.C.A.)
It was preceded by the presentation of the actions of the sub-project entitled: "Recording and study of the Geodiversity of the Kefalonia - Ithaca Geopark" of the actions: 2. Study and exploitation of the paleontological heritage of the Kefalonia and Ithaca Geopark, 3 Possibilities of exploitation of surface appearances of clay and clay in the direction of mud therapy, and 4. Digital models for the Kefalonia – Ithaca Geopark" at the Korgialenios Library.
